Bio: Lynn Eaton is currently the Director, Special Collections Research Center at George Mason University Libraries. Previous to this position, she served as the Special Collections Librarian at James Madison University. At JMU, she led the department in developing a more robust presence on campus and in the Harrisonburg community, bringing in significant collections, increasing staff, and building relationships within Harrisonburg through directed outreach efforts and events. Lynn also served in the Rubenstein Library at Duke University for 16 years, working with digital collections, technical services, and research services during that time. As a member of the Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising, & Marketing History unit in the Rubenstein Library, Lynn collaborated on outreach through exhibits, newsletters, and social media projects. Lynn served as co-chair of the Society of American Archivists Annual Meeting 2015. She received her MLS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her MS in College Student Personnel Services from Miami University (Ohio), and her BA in English from James Madison University.
